Running 4 Kelly is now 5 years old. Family members continue to run to raise awareness and funds to support NPC research!
On April 24, 2010, family and friends came together to run their 1st marathon at The Country Music Marathon in Nashville, TN.
The race is tomorrow at 7:30am. I'm heading to bed now with $631 more to raise! Please consider donating tonight. The next time you hear from me I will have crossed the finish line! It's go time folks!
This one is for you Kel! I love YOU!
Thank you to those that have already donated. Supporting this campaign provides hope for the future for all those affected by NPC! THANK YOU!
I need your support. I'm presenting my 4 day challenge to raise $1566 for the NNPDF! October Awareness Month is coming to a close and what better way to raise awareness .... running in a HALF MARATHON! I'm running in the Madison Half marathon this Saturday Oct 31. Please support me running by donating to my campaign! Thank you all for you support. I'll see you at the finish line...

When the clock hit midnight on this past New Year's Eve, the memory that flooded my head, was NASHVILLE. 5 years ago the RUNNING 4 KELLY team was training for the Nashville Country Music Marathon. A lot has happened in the past five years. We are thankful everyday that we have celebrated every one of Kelly's birthdays since then and we are still smiling along her side everyday. She is still so strong and teaches us everyday!
5 years ago we ran for her. Keep a look out because we have a lot to celebrate in this upcoming year.
Fighting for a cure was our focus then and remains our focus now.

Back in July we received notice that we WON the First Time Fundraiser's Contest. Here is the note:
Congratulations! The Thompson-McGuire family is the winner of the First Time Fundraiser contest for 2010!
As the winner, you are entitled to a free room for the three nights of the Family Conference in Toronto, August 5, 6, and 7. It is actually a two-bedroom apartment-style suite including kitchen facilities.
We unfortunately we unable to attend the conference this year, so our family donated our prize to a well deserved family that needed assistance in order to attend the conference.
Thank you to all who donated, supported and encouraged all of our runners.
From encouraging words or a hug full of strength and love, or a donation to the foundation, we could not have done this without you. Our family hopes that someday researchers will find a cure. In the mean time, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
This past weekend was beautiful to say the least! The sun was out and it felt like spring. Everyone was coming home to CT for the Easter weekend, so the team decided to run together on Saturday morning. This was the first time the whole team was together for a group run. At 8am we all gathered at Rails to Trails in Farmington.
Everyone had their longest run of their training schedules ahead of them, but Kelly came to inspire and motivate our team. With the sun shining, not cloud in the sky and Kelly's bright smile, we all were determined to run our little hearts out that day!
